Green production at PCC EXOL

The production of raw materials and chemical additives at PCC EXOL is entirely covered by green energy originating from renewable sources. Presently, the company produces them using electricity that is covered in 100% by solar or wind energy.

The green energy used for production allows considerable reduction of carbon footprint, which is generated both by the company and by the surfactants it produces. In consequence, as a component in the supply chain of manufacturers operating in various sectors of industry, PCC EXOL can have a real impact on carbon footprint.

PCC EXOL is focused on sustainable production and consumption. The company is strongly committed to such aspects as reducing carbon footprint, designing new high-biodegradability products, or making products based on raw materials of natural origin.

Our environmental goals are well specified. By green production, we take measures in pursuit of climate neutrality. We thus support the Paris Agreement, claims Dariusz Ciesielski, the Company President.

PCC EXOL buys the guarantees of origin for RES energy, which presently cover its entire demand for energy in the area of production. PCC EXOL’s annual expenditure for the purchase of electricity do not exceed 2% of the total amount spent on raw materials and supplies.

Today, global environmental objectives must be reflected efficient operation of each sector of economy, which also includes chemical industry. The energy that PCC EXOL uses for production is covered in 100% by energy derived from renewable, non-fossil sources that mostly include wind and solar energy, says Rafał Zdon, Vice-President of the Management Board. PCC EXOL has long been actively carrying out initiatives aimed to improve energy efficiency. The company implements new, sustainable products in their PCC Greenline® range. A half of PCC EXOL’s revenues comes from the sales of products from that range. As at the end of 2021, the green range included over 100 different products, and today it is already around 180. These are mainly chemical raw materials and additives for various types of cosmetics and detergents, based on biodegradable raw materials of natural origin and, what is important, their production is 100% secured by green energy.

PCC EXOL is a manufacturer of a wide range of raw materials, additives and chemical formulations for industry. PCC EXOL shares and bonds are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
