On 4 October 2022, the Polish Association of the Cosmetic and Detergent Industry celebrated its 30th anniversary. An integral part of that event was the cosmetic and detergent industry forum “Don’t miss the green – new responsibilities or opportunity?”
One of the participants was PCC EXOL, thus representing the community of manufacturers of raw materials and additives for cosmetics and detergents.
The meeting of representatives of the cosmetics and detergent industry was an excellent opportunity to discuss the upcoming changes involving environmental protection measures. It is already clear that both industries are facing a number of projects and very important legislative changes to which each company will have to adapt quite quickly. The changes and new legislative obligations will affect any manufacturer that places raw materials and finished products on the market.
The keynote speech—under the title “Don’t miss the green” referring to the conference title—was given by Małgorzata Wadzińska, President of the Association. The speakers included experts and representatives of such organisations as: Cosmetics Europe, A.I.S.E., FEA, IKW. Those organisations were represented by: Birgit Huber, John Chave, Sascha Nissen, and Alain D’Haese, who presented the European perspective on the Green Deal project.
The conference participants also heard speeches from representatives of the Polish industry institutions. The national perspective on the legislative changes related to the Green Deal was presented by Andrzej Kalski, a representative of the Bureau for Chemical Substances, and Izabela Burzyńska from the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate.
The unprecedented high quality of the speeches, the substance of which was the most important pro-environmental legislative initiatives, and the presence of high-class European and Polish experts made each of the participants eager to take part in the next edition of the Forum of the Cosmetic and Detergent Industry.
See you next year!
